Hi Jason,

I am searching for my own niche in the pagan community. I am drawn to the earth based religions but am unsure which is for me. Can you help?

Hi Bianca,

Finding your own niche can be a lifetime of experience. People are drawn to Pagan religions for various reasons and it may be helpful to write down exactly why. Some people are very drawn to the philosophies and rituals of Wicca. Some are drawn to various other religions because of a strong connection to their pre-Christian ancestors. Some are just in love with a particular culture and they want to reconstruct rituals and practices of that culture. Also spend some time reading about all the different kinds of Pagan religions that are out there. A good place to start is here:

Also, if you can try attending some public rituals and get a feel for them. Try doing a search here:

Now let's say that you are drawn to Wicca but you love say the ancient Irish culture. Many Wiccan honor various gods from other cultures, but within a Wiccan context so that may be helpful to you. Wicca has SO many flavors to it because of that. Just google Wicca with any culture (like Italian Wicca or Irish Wicca) and you'll see what I mean. Also lastly there is no rush. Take your time to reasearch and to feel what is right for you. No one says that you must pick right away and your spiritual path is your own. I hope that this helps and thank you for contacting me.
