Pagemaker (Adobe) - Re-Loading PageMaker 7.0.1 software

Question
Glen:

I publish a small quarterly community magazine, creating the layout using PageMaker.  Recently, I had to re-boot my computer because of crawling viruses.

After rebooting, I uploaded all my other software (such as InDesign, Word, Excel, MS Publisher, MS Access and many others.  Everything uploaded fine except PageMaker.

I uninstalled the PageMaker first, and removed all the remnant PageMaker-related files.

When I insert the Windows Version of the PageMaker CD-ROM (the purple color disc), the computer does not even show the PageMaker icon for the CD drive.  When I click open the drive, I only see one folder named "Library" containing a large no of pictures; and a PDF file containing a large number of clip arts.

I am against a deadline for our April issue, and I am stuck. Can you help me out?  You can call me at .

I am frustrated.

Answer
Hi Venkat,

I am sorry, but I have no experience installing PageMaker on a Windows machine.
I'm a mac guy.
In the meantime, you can open your PageMaker files in InDesign to get out of the jam.

Hope this helps,
Glen Demers
