Pagemaker (Adobe) - saving a document to a pdf file

Expert: Glen Demers - 6/10/2009

Question
I am trying to save our newsletter to a pdf file so I can publish it online. When I open the pdf file I have many more pages than are in the newsletter. There are 3 blank pages then the first page, then 1 or 2 blanks and another page, etc. Where are they coming from and how do I delet them?

Answer
Hi Kathy,

When you go to the Print Dialog box uncheck the option for "Print Blank Pages" and print a postscript file. You can then distill the file for a pdf.
This is the preferred way to make pdf's from PageMaker.
If you are using the export to pdf option under Control, uncheck "print all publications in book". Make sure that Page size is same as Paper size. You can enter the range of pages you want in the pdf here as well.

Hope this helps,
