Pagemaker (Adobe) - PM 6.5 cannot open my templates (T65 files)

Question
I created a publication. Used save as to save as a template.
When I try to open the template I get the following error:
Cannot Open File 8009:-001.
I am able to open .pt5 files (version 5 templates).
I tried removing imported graphics from master pages and I was still unable to open the new template.

Answer
Hi Lorie,

Can you open documents? You may be able to open your documents in 6.5 and save new templates.

Try troubleshooting the templates. Here is an invaluable guide from Adobe: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/328/328708.html

PageMaker will not work on Vista. If this is your operating system it is recommended that you upgrade to InDesign CS3 or later.
