Subject: true type fonts problems with Adobe Page maker

Question
I already install the Page Maker 7.0 but the system donīt recognize existing fonts (TTF)

The Mac System OS X phanter is the operating system that my computer have.

Photoshop and ilustrator can read this fonts but my page maker 7.0 canīt

Also using edition software the problem exist.

Do you have an idea or clue about what can I do to fix this problem?

Regards

Francisco

Answer
Francisco:

If you are using OS X Panther, that means that you really have 2 operating systems running.  Pagemaker is running out of Classic Mode which is also called OS 9.

You will need to go into Font Book and take out all your fonts.

Then you will need to install them again.  Before you hit the Open Button, make sure you have "Install for Mac Classic" button pushed.  You will have to put in your password for every font you install.

After your fonts are straight, you will need to restart Classic.

This is not a problem with Pagemaker, but the way the new OS X works.

Let me know if you need any further help!
