Pain Management/Shoulder blade pain

Question
About 2 years ago my entire right arm and hand went numb. I was not engaged in any strenous activity at the time. The numbness lasted about 2 hours and when it went away i noticed a pain along my right shoulder blade. It has continued to get worse over time and I now have tingles and pain that go up my right neck and arm. I have had physio, acupuncture, an x ray and a cortisone injection which have solved nothing. I survive the day on pain killers and have trouble sleeping.  I am only 26 and am finding life pretty tough right now especially as i'm trying to finish my last year of university and sitting at a computer or studying over books for any length of time is extremely difficult. If anyone can help or suggest some possibilities i would be so grateful.  Thank you.  Bridget

Answer
Hi Bridget,

Do you know what the diagnose the doctors you went to told you?

What happened two years ago that cause your pain and numbness?

Did you injure your neck or back?  Did you have any history of injury or pain there before the episode?

Did the pain starts or gets worse at night time?

What did the x-ray showed?

Beside the pain medications, do you notice anything that helps alleviate the pain? such as rest, heat, etc.

I can better give you suggestion with more information.
