Pain Management/Muscle Pain

Question
I have had pain in my hand, arm, neck and shoulders on and off for several weeks now and would like to know what specific therapy I should try for the muscle pain? Assuming that stretches and exercising may be the best thing at the moment?

This is all on the same side which is my right side and thought I should mention that I am right handed!

Please advise... Thanks!

Answer
Hello, Rosanne,

Your description indicates nerve entrapment from tight neck muscles.

Stretches will not help; you need somatic exercises or sessions of clinical somatic education to enable you to free those muscles and your neck movements.

May I refer you to my article on whiplash injuries at somatics.com/page4.htm, for more explanation and what you can do.

best,
