Pain Management - leg pain

Expert: Dr. Man Tran, Ph.D., D.C., L.Ac. - 9/23/2009

Question
I got a sharp shooting pain that started from the inside part of my left knee that radiated to my upper leg that lasted a few seconds. I broke out in a cold sweat. It subsided each time but I got it about 4 times. Then I just got a pain to the touch on the inside of my left knee.

Answer
Hi Dolores,

There is just not enough information for me to go one to give you advise.  What happened?  Did you fall on it?  How did the pain comes about?  Have you had this type of pain to this area before?  Any history of trauma or arthritis to the left knee?  Were you active, athletically, before or present?

Have you tried ice or heat and did they helped?
