Question
QUESTION: When I open my photo browers in PSP instead of having rows of photos all I have are rows of black squares.  WHen I drag one of the squares into the workspace, the photo opens up.

In materials where there should be color -- there is only black squares.  ie foreground and background

ANSWER: Quite peculiar situation you have going on!  I have not encountered such a problem myself.  I have had some issues the the browser not reading the images, but your materials palette has me stumped.  What version of PSP are you using?

QUESTION: My version is 10.01.  The same happens in the print screen.  There is a black square where the photo should be.  When I print the photo is there, just not on the screen.  Would it be better just or reload the program, or run an update when available?

Answer
It sounds like somewhere along the line a very important file was either deleted or altered.  I doubt an update will correct your situation.  I agree with you.  I think you should uninstall and reinstall your program.  Before you do, just be sure to save all your textures, presets, etc. that you may have stored in your documents under "My PSP Files".  If you still encounter this issue after you reinstall, then most likely there is another program arguing with PSP.  If this is the case, get back to me and we'll hunt down the offending program.

Thank you,
Trinity Chi
