Richard:
Many thanks for your very complete response.
I have Animation 3 installed and am very familiar with its concepts and use (most of it anyway).
I have an animated gif with 76 frames. It's a company logo.
But Animation 3 displays the logo in a rectagular frame, let's say 200 by 100 pixels.
The logo is in the cneter of the frame, and is 100 by 100 pixels.
I would like to crop 50 pixels from each side of every frame, to end up with a logo that is 100 by 100 pixels.
I was hoping that there is an easy way to do that.
Animation 3 let's us re-size the frames in one step but the re-sizing retains the rectagular frame size.
For example I could re-size the width to 100 pixels, but it the also reduces the height to 50 pixels.
Hope I explained my need properly.
If I resize each frame seperately in PSP, not only is it a long and tedious process, but it may be difficult to crop all 76 frames in an identical manner.

Perhaps you can help with this question.
I would like to resize an animated gif,(or select a portion of the image) but need help.
Within PSP 8 it's an easy affair; simply Edit and Copy with the Selection Tool, and Paste the selection as a New Image.
I would like to basically do the same for an animated gif. Would you have any idea how that can be done.
Thanks

Hello Nick,
An animated gif is simply a set of individual gifs that have been saved to a single file, along with information about the display speed and transparency, etc. So to edit the "animated gif" you edit the individual gifs that make up the animation. But before you can do that, you need to take the animation apart and to do that, you need gif animation software that is not part of Paint Shop Pro. You will also need the animation software to put the images back into animated form. The sister application to Paint Shop Pro that does this is called "Animation Shop" and you can find it here:
http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=Corel3/Products/Display&pfid=104
Once you have the animation broken apart, you can edit it within Animation Shop, or you can bring the individual frames into PSP and edit them there as you normally would and then use the "Wizard" in Animation Shop to reassemble the animation.
Microsoft makes a free gif animator that should also be able to unstack and restack the animation for you. I haven't tried it so I'm afraid you are on your own with that one. You can find it here:

I hope this helps. As always, please feel free to ask follow-up questions as needed!
AnswerI thought I alredy answered this but it showed up again on my page so I will answer again. I hope you got it the first time and haven't been waiting for an answer all this time!
You can resize all the images automatically to the exact same dimensions by running a Script. You will need to the read the Help file in PSP for instructutions on the exact steps as it is a bit more that I can really do here.
I hope this helps! Please ask followup questions as needed.
