About David Ryan
Expertise
I can answer on how to use Paint Shop Pro in many situations; creating graphics for games, editing photos, pictures, etc... I am not very confident in using `masks` though, but apart from that, i`m experienced in most other parts of the sofware, though. You can ask me how to use different tools or `how do i make this like this?` and I am willing to help anyone

Subject: setting resoultion for a new doc

Question
I am creating an invitation which is 8 1/2 x 11 standard paper.  I want to create pictures of my own on the stationery.  I am having difficulty transferring so many images into Word to make the stationery so I thought I could create the pictures on top of the text which I have copied and pasted from Word to Paint Shop Pro 9.  My delima is what the RESOULTION should be set at if I set the new document at 8 x 11 in INCHES.  Can you help me?
Thank you.

Answer
Hello there,

Resolution will not change the size of your image when you print it out. - The resolution will change the detail in your image. If you copy and paste a large picture into a large resolution image of 8 x 11 Inches, it will appear small; and vice versa. The standard defualt resolution is fine, but 72 Pixels per cm is also good.

I think that's the case anyway, I can't be sure. ; )

Hope this Helps you,

Kindest Regards,

David.
