Question
I've got a painting To!! constable f1817.how would you know if there were real

Answer
Hi Lee,

Thank you for your email, the best thing would be to go take your painting to an appraiser. If you would put a photo of it on here so I can look at it that would help, both front and back of painting.

Also look to see when the painting was painted, if it does not have a date on it.  Look at the back of the painting, so you can see what kind of stretchers where used and the type of canvas.  that will also help date it.
