Question

oil on board
Hi,
I have been tryimg to identify the artist of this painting. The painting meas. 11 x 14. The only marking on the painting is, on the back, a sticker from Kinstlers Storage Warehouse, New York and dated looks like 1914. I would appreciate any help you might be able to give me. I have no idea where to start. Thank you so much, Cindy

Answer
Hi Cindy,

Thank you for your question, it is difficult to assign any painting to a particular artist.  you may want to check out this website to see if you can find any similar works. That may help you find out who painted it: www.askart.com if that doesn't work you can also find art appraisers on line whom you can send the photo to and see if they can tell you who painted it and also the value.

But that may end up costing you an appraisel fee.  Sorry that I can't be of more help to you.

Regards

Josef-Peter
