Expert: James Few, PSA - 6/13/2009

Question
Im thinking of painting again and applying for an exhibition at my local gallery. I just dont know how to decribe my work or anything like that and Im always two steps too far so Im not going to be able to paint unless I know what Im going to say when I apply for exhibition space, please help!!
I did this painting years ago and am going to use the same style for my next one. How can I describe it?

This is a follow up .... What to call your painting style ?  Expressive? Abstract Realism? maybe?? I don't know...

I don't try to put verbal descriptions of my painting.  It's entirely a different part of the brain.  

Here's a broad website you can explore to possibly give you some ideas on different styles.  You can then do a "Google" image search for different terms or style examples.

Getting into galleries: One way is to just show the director slides or actual example(s) of your paintings.  Notice I said plural examples....
