Question
I'm thinking of sending a picture portfolio of my paintings to various known art collectors, offering a painting of their choice for their collection. However, I don't have an extensive art career. How should I price my paintings, or approach the art collectors?

Answer
Hi Emile,
you should price it according to the quality of your artwork.  Does it look professional? is it new? etc.  I don't know if you have had some art traing such as a art school or self taught.  If you like you can put up one of your paintings on this site and I will try to the best of my knowlegde give you my opinion of your work, wether it looks professional or not.  And from that I will suggest a pricing system I use.
