D. R. Bronson
Do you have info on D. R. Bronson. His/her oil, dated 1916, looks like Venice, Italy.  Thanks from, Chip

Answer
Dear Chip,

Unfortunately,  nothing comes up under that name in that style of painting.  My guess is that your painting was painted by a Venetian Painter for sale to tourists.  It appears to be painted rather quickly which most "tourist" paintings would have this characteristic.  This by no means is to say your painting is bad.  Simply, it was done as a "snapshot" of Venice for the visiting traveler to take home to remember Venice by.

Most artists that did tourist type paintings in that era did not have their work catalogued and as such, the history of those artists has been mostly lost to time.
