I'm want to recreate this splash I did on my painting, it's the little burst thing above the cardinal's head. I just started on watercolor and I tried to recreate this effect but it has been a couple of days and nothing. Could you help, thank you for reading.

Answer
Hi Hollie,

I don't paint with watercolor, but I would just wipe outwards from the birds head to
get a splash effect, either with a paper towel or brush so that the paint is wiped down to white paper near the birds head and less outward.
