You are here: Experts > Style > Interior Decorating > Painting & Wallpapering > Semi-gloss door
Expert: Ed Kuchar - 10/22/2009
Question I just painted my kitchen door and frame with semi-gloss paint. The door sticks to the frame when someone opens the door, which in turn peels the paint. What can I do to stop this from happening?
Thanks.
Answer There is too much buildup (too many layers) of paint on the door edge and the inside of the door frame. The way to correct this problem is to plane down the door edge and/or the inside of the door frame. Then prime and repaint that area.
Hope that helps....any other questions, just ask.......
