Question Hi,
I am about to get my new house painted. I have earth brown furnitures and offwhite vetrified tiled floors. I want one or two walls of my living room sheen striped. idea is to make the room look spacious. could you please suggest colors and whether i should get it vertically or horizontally striped. thank you.
Answer Hi Rekha
For spacious, if you want the ceilings to look higher, try vertical stripes. For wider, larger rooms, try horizontal stripes. For spaciousness in general: try tone-on-tone neutral colors like two shades of beige or tan, one a bit lighter than the other. Or cream and pale grey. Or peach-beige and a deeper shade of peach-beige. Or very, very pale blue-grey and one shade deeper. Basically, you want the two colors for the stripes to be similar, the more similar, the more elegant and spacious your room will look in general. I hope this help you get some more ideas for painting your room!
Cheers,
rebecca
