QUESTION: On a 70 year old house with wood trim/windows... what wood treatment/paint/primer will help paint to last and not peel after a few months...thanks

Answer
I would wash the wood with a product called TSP and bleach in the water. Than let dry. If there is peeling paint, than scrape. We have been using a product called Peel stop. You can get at Home depot. I would also use a high quality paint like Sherwin Williams Duration. You could use a satin duration exterior. Beyond that I don't know what else we would do.
Good Luck!
