Question We are trying to reinvent my mother's living room as a surprise for her....the problem we are having is with the burgandy marble tile that is around her fireplace (border on the wall around the fireplace) There are only about 30 tiles....she HATES them, and the color....so we were wondering, can we paint/texture them, or anything else to change them other than pulling them off and replacing them? Because honestly, I wouldn't know where to start with that....or how difficult it would be. Any suggestions you have would be great.....thank you!
Answer Sandy,
No problem just apply a special primer such as available from Zinsser easily available on the Internet.
These primer act like double sided tape adhering to substrate and allowing you to paint over with any finish you like.
