Painting & Wallpapering - Sand painting

Expert: Laura Mesich - 4/2/2009

Question
I am redoing my bathroom in the basement and would like to paint it with the sand paint.  What I would like to know is, is sand paint going to be ok with all the moisture that the bathroom gets after a shower?  Two showers a day get taken down in that bathroom.  If the sand paint is not good with wiping or the drips can you please let me know what you would suggest.  I really want to do a technique on the walls.  Thank you for your time hope to hear from you very soon I plan to do this over the weekend ( within the next two days)

Answer
I think you might be on the right track with the sand paint. What you can do is a rag roll. Use the woolie, double roller. You use two colors. Use your main color and than use white. It works every time and looks great. Make sure the the white is a semi gloss. It looks awesome and will with stand the moisture.

Good Luck, Laura
You can go to woolie web site and see where it is sold. It is usually with a kit. The kit has the double roller and the double pan you will need.
Good luck Laura
