Question I am planning on painting the walls in our living room. The room currently has a light blue gray carpet, a large black entertainment center, and a brown couch and loveseat. At this time the walls are all white. I am wondering what color to paint the walls. I am open to any suggestions and would also be willing to paint different walls different colors.
Answer Dear Eric
This is a homework question:
I need much more info about your living room. So please do some homework and get back to me on the following:
1. Style of all furniture & style of house
2. Types, styles and colors of other items in the room, including other furniture, window coverings, accessories, artwork, floors, fireplace, trim and woodwork, etc.
3. Lighting, amount of sun and exposure (Which way does the room face?) PLEASE include size of room, including ceiling height.
4. Room function: living room with media center or formal living room you rarely use?
5. Describe patterns in the room as well. This is often the BEST way to get inspiration. If you have no patterns, introducing a small amount can be inspirational.
Thanks!
Rebecca
