Painting & Wallpapering - painting over wallpaper

Expert: Rebecca Bushner - 4/11/2009

Question
I am painting my sisters hallways which are covered in wall paper, that the seams overlap.  What do you suggest to do about the seams?  What about sand painting , will that help cover the seams?

Answer
Hi Angie
This question has been answered before, but to help you out, check this web link:

"Sand Paint" I assume means sand-textured paint. If it will cover bad seams depends on the brand of paint and application. It's not easy paint to apply. If you LOVE 'sand' paint, excellent! If you are interested in it to save time, I do not recommend "faux" anything unless you hire a professional. Good luck with the hallway!
