I'm the current immediate-past-president of the International Association of Color Consultants/Designers North America (IACC-NA), a former Color Marketing Group chairholder, and an award-winning fine artist.
Experience I've been officially a color consultant for 7 years, a designer and researcher (tableware design) for about 10 years. I have my own color consulting/graphic design business in Arizona.

My bedroom is a 19 x 20 space, and my furniture is mainly black and white. I have Brazilian cherry hardwood floors. You can see the master bathroom suite from my bedroom. I am considering painting my bathroom a color in the blue family. What color should I paint my bedroom, and what color accent pieces should I put in the room to bring it all together?

I need some more information about your room and bath. I understand the colors you have (floor and furniture) but can you provide the following info:
1. type and amount of lighting in each room and window exposure
2. other surfaces in the bath- tiles, floor, cabinets, etc.
3. Style of furniture you have and what pieces.
4. Ceiling height in each room
5. Other items you do not mention that you want to be part of the scheme: area rugs, bedding, bath rugs, shower curtains, window treatments, etc.
Either provide photos or "paint me a picture".
