Question QUESTION: I need help. I have a very large house with an open floor plan and high ceilings. I am having the most trouble picking a paint color for my foyer(2 story lots of light) and my great room which is open from the foyer. I currently have silver mink(blue/gray) by benjamin moore in my kitchen that I love. I also have spanish red in my dining room which I also love. I'm guessing that I have to go with a nuetral color and can't seem to fing the right one for my great room/foyer. I have dark walnut trim and I also have brown leather furniture. I have looked at latte by sherwin williams, but am afraid it has too much gray and the beige colors have pink in them. Tried shaker beige and don't like it. Also, I have an accent wall painted around my stairs which is a dark chocolate brown which will look fabulous with the right colors next to it. Currently have smokey topaz by sherwin williams in the foyer and great room and it it way too orange. HELP! Thank you so much. Do I have to do beige or taupe or can i use some type of green shade?
ANSWER: Hi Deb
I sounds like you have many problems or many just many questions. I'm having trouble sifting down to one final question, which I hope is "I would like a shade of green for my foyer and great room".
I this is not the questions, please restate.
Thanks!

QUESTION: The question is what color specifically would you suggest for my foyer and great room considering the colors that I already have to work with. Thanks. (getting rid of the smokey topaz)
Answer Hi again Deb
Ok, here are three greens and three beige OR taupe shades from Sherwin Williams. Keep in mind you do have hundreds of choices (Especially in the greens). Do look at these, and also look at similar colors. Always do paint outs and LIVE with the new colors for 2 weeks before repainting if you are unsure.
Greens:
1. SW6136 Harmonic Tan (olive brown-green)
2. SW2812 Rookwood Jade (sage with blue cast)
3. SW0042 Ruskin Room Green (light olive)
Taupe/Beige:
1. SW2827 Colonial Revival Stone (cool taupe)
2. SW6143 Basket Beige (greenish cast)
3. SW6108 Latte (just like it sounds)
