Question Tony:
I brush stained a fiberglass door with a gel stain. The result was much darker than I hoped. It has already dried. Is it possible to remove some of the stain with mineral spirits without ruining the door.
Hope you can help.
Answer Nicholas,
As you hinted you have to be careful of damaging the substrate therefore you will need to do a test area.
I would start with Methylated Spirits and if that doesn't work there are some environmentally safe water based paint strippers available that should do the job.
