I am Planning an overland trip from Delhi to London and would appreciate any information you have on travelling by road through Pakistan and in particular on entry in Iran. Any advice concerning any other aspects of travel through asia to europe would be apreciated.

HI Richard;

Quite a trip you are planning. I did it some 24 years ago; at that time it was still possible to travel trough Afganistan !
As you see; I don't have much recent information on the subject; just a general outline.
From India to Pakistan there is only 1 crossing : Amritsar Lahore. Than head south into Baluchistan & It's capital Quetta....
Than head into Iran but make sure you've got all necessary papers ( visa) and carnets for your vehicle as this border is notorious for keeping people waiting ( sometimes for weeks)
You could check out the Lonely Planet web site; they've got a lot of recent info ; also you could leave a message on their message board (the Thorn tree):

Also you could check with some of the big overland companies ( like Encounter Overland, Exodus or Guerba Expeditions) and ask them about the conditions...they've still got overland trucks to & from India so they should know.
