About David Prus
Expertise
I can answer any general questions about dinosaurs and on prehistoric mammals in the Cenozoic. I also know a bit about the media's various depictions of dinosaurs and their inaccuracies. I don't know much about "microfauna"-small animals, or about Paleozoic besides some knowledge about Permian animals. Plants are right out, I'm afraid.

Experience
I have been interested in dinosaurs for most of my life, own a large collection of scientific papers and books on the subject, and am a member of the Field Museum in Chicago.

Education/Credentials
I am in college, but studied biology and geology both in high school and as a personal effort.

Question
Can you please give me a list of all and I mean all the fossils of prehistoric animals and dinosaurs ever found in Israel, Middle East, North Africa, and all the closest areas around there. This will not include plant fossils. (Try to make sure aquatic prehistoric animals are in the list too)Thank You very much.

Answer
Tall order. I don't think I could list them all, but I do recommend the Paleobiology database (http://paleodb.org/cgi-bin/bridge.pl?user=Guest&action=displayHomePage). You may ask me about the species themselves (descriptions and such), but it provides a good list of the exact species found. Here's some good fossil sites:

Israel: Es Skhul, Qafzeh, Tabun

Iran: Kerman

Morocco: Ahl al Oughlam, Jebel Irhoud, Tegana formation, Ait Ourir, El Nif

Niger: Elrhaz formation, Tiourarén formation

Egypt: Fayum formation, Jebel Qatrani Formation, Baharija Formation

UAE:  Baynunah Formation

Iraq: Shanidar Cave

Syria: al Hemel, Umm el Tlel

Lebanon: Hajoula, Sahel Alma, Haqel

I hope this helps.
