AboutLorena Milanes Expertise I can answer questions regarding Panama, its people, culture, places to visit, places to watch out for, hotels to stay, how much your taxi fare should be... specific information on getting around on a safe manner.
Experience I was born and raised in Panama, educated in American schools. Since I enjoy all related to Panama history, I try to keep myself updated on local happenings in the subject. I also enjoy traveling and the internet seems a wonderful tool to use, specially when you are your own guide (which I usually am)- so I am just willing to give some of the help I have received back.

Question QUESTION: WE are thinking of driving from Panama City to Bocas Del Torro and stopping along the way? Is this a difficult drive and how far would it be if we drove straight back to Panama city to return to the US? We have 10 days in Panama
ANSWER: Hi Anne,
Well, if you really want to make the most out of your trip take a small plane from Panama City Albrook Airport to Bocas.
The roads are bad, zero signalization and you would take at least half a day each way...
That is my honest recommendation.
Have a good trip.

QUESTION: i think i messed up. Anyway, thanks for the quick response .. i will take your advice ..can I fly directly to bocas or have to go to David first and then bus it.. Is Boquette a worthwhile sidetrip....or am i trying to do too much .. What do you think? I only have ten days! Thanks again Lorena
Answer Hi Anne,
Ten days is plenty of time. If I may recommend.. 2 to 3 days i Bocas, 2 days in San Blas (island Indian reserve),
2 days in Boquete, the rest in Panama City.
You can look at the San Felipe old quarters, the old city ruins, the Panama Canal!
Have a great trip!
