AboutLorena Milanes Expertise I can answer questions regarding Panama, its people, culture, places to visit, places to watch out for, hotels to stay, how much your taxi fare should be... specific information on getting around on a safe manner.
Experience I was born and raised in Panama, educated in American schools. Since I enjoy all related to Panama history, I try to keep myself updated on local happenings in the subject. I also enjoy traveling and the internet seems a wonderful tool to use, specially when you are your own guide (which I usually am)- so I am just willing to give some of the help I have received back.

Are the domestic airlines reliable? Is it possible to make it to the domestic airport for a 3:30 flight on Christmas day? Also, we will be staying in Panama City for one day. What would be on your must see list?? Thank you so much for your help.
Answer Dear Kate,
On Christmas Day, December 24th most businesses close early.
In regards to your trip to Bocas del Toro, please double check before going there.
Since last week it has been pouring there and the province has been declared in state of emergency due to heavy flooding.
Answering your question on regards to airlines going there being reliable, yes, the airlines that go to Bocas are reliable.
I would have to know at what time you arrive Tocumen airport (international) in order to be able to know if you would make it on time to get to Albrook (national) airport for a 3.30 flight.
If you plan to be in Panama for just one day I would go to:
Panama Canal
Museo del Canal Interoceanico (San Felipe)
Panama VIejo (Old Panama ruins)
Eat local food, maybe at Las Tinajas or El Trapiche.
