Panama/me again

Question
hey, its me again...still bothering you.  i appreciate your honesty once again.  i can only hope all of the other allexperts on this site are as straight forward and honest as you are, and without an agenda.  to you i give this credit.  ok, now that we both agree that panama city is probably not a viable option for me and my children, what about boquete or another small village that has modern infrastructure, off of the beaten path, but still fairly close to places to buy groceries and go to the movies and such.  is there such a place, with very very low crime rates and still have a fairly short drive to a major city.  i don't mind living out in the country matter of fact, i prefer it.  thanks as always

Answer
Hi Alan,
Iīts ok, you do not bother me.
I think your Boquete options is a good one.
Itīs a small place, weather is nice, movies, good schools and medical facilities can be found minutes away in the city of David.
The David Province (where Boquete is located) is where most food goods come from (all greens, coffee, meat...) so you can only picture the scenery, it really beautiful.
Boquete has lately been regarded as a retirement community which has caused for prices to increase a bit, but there are still options.
I think this would not only be a great place to live but, also to raise children.
I bought some land there sometime ago, hopefully I can retire there when the time comes.
All the best,
Lorena

Expertise

I can answer questions regarding Panama, its people, culture, places to visit, places to watch out for, hotels to stay, how much your taxi fare should be... specific information on getting around on a safe manner.

Experience

I was born and raised in Panama, educated in American schools. Since I enjoy all related to Panama history, I try to keep myself updated on local happenings in the subject. I also enjoy traveling and the internet seems a wonderful tool to use, specially when you are your own guide (which I usually am)- so I am just willing to give some of the help I have received back.
