Question
We will be traveling to Panama in December. We will meet someone in San Jose and travel with them to Bocas del Toro for a few days.  We would like to rent a car in or near Bocas and drive to Panama City to see the country.  Any recommendations on this idea and on car rentals?  (I have driven in Costa Rica and I do no mind the road conditions)

Hi Tom,
I checked the phone book for car rentals in Bocas del Toro and could not find any.
I suggest you rent the car in David, Chiriqui and then drive from there. Try Thrifty Car Rental in David, they should be able to help you out.
Besides maybe you can have a nice meal at Boquete which is worth the visit.
