Panama/adult studying at Santa Maria, neighborhoods

Question
We will be living in Panama shortly. Currently, I study at the Catholic University here in Puerto Rico as an adult student. I am studying for personal enrichment only. Do Panamanian Universities or their private Catholic University have programs that allow adults to study for personal enrichment only? I wish to attend classes during the day.
Also what are the best neighborhoods for Empty Nesters in Panama City?

Yes, you may take courses at local universities for personal enrichment. You'll have to pay of course. Espero hables español porque solo en algunas como Florida State podrás tomar clases en inglés!
I would say the best neighborhood for singles is El Cangrejo which is close to everything and has a wide range of apartment rental prices. The main street in this neigborhood is Via Argentina which has several coffee shops and restaurants frequented by university students and singles.
