AboutLorena Milanes Expertise I can answer questions regarding Panama, its people, culture, places to visit, places to watch out for, hotels to stay, how much your taxi fare should be... specific information on getting around on a safe manner.
Experience I was born and raised in Panama, educated in American schools. Since I enjoy all related to Panama history, I try to keep myself updated on local happenings in the subject. I also enjoy traveling and the internet seems a wonderful tool to use, specially when you are your own guide (which I usually am)- so I am just willing to give some of the help I have received back.

Question Hi,
My 18 year old daughter is planning on going to stay with a friend in Almirante, for a couple of months. She wants to focus on her spanish and experience something new. Besides a passport and tourist card, what else would she need to visit for 2 months. Also, she was planning on going to Spanish by the Sea and also trying to get a job in Bocas. Is that a realistic plan? Anything special she would need to have to get a job?
Thank you
Answer Hi Yolanda,
Her visit to Almirante should definately help her with her English and it will all be new to her.
To enter Panama, she will only need her passport and the 5.00 usd tourist card.
Now, for the length of stay per information in the Ipat site (tourism office) www.ipat.gob.pa, your stay with a tourist card is authorized for max 90 days.
I am not sure what you mean with "Going to Spanish by the Sea and also ". If you can clear that for me I can finish answering you :)
All the best.
Lorena
