Panic Disorders/Attacks - Panic Attack?

Question
Hi, I am 22 year old male and I have been suffering from anxiety and panic attacks. My hands get tingly really easy.. Yesterday i had a panic attack where my hands seized up and got so rigid that i could not move them, they were hurting and felt like they were going to break, they crawled up to the inside and got stiff and i felt powerless over them.. couldnt move them back to place! After the panic was gone my hands gradually went back to normal.. I was concious during the whole time..

I thought I was going to die, my whole body was tingling, my stomach got rigid too and my head felt pressured..

The reason for my anxiety is because i had a grand mal seizure a year and 4 months ago but it was considered a non-epilleptic seizure.. it was because of exhaustion, dehydration and i was not put under any medication.. EEG, CT scan were all good.. That was my first and only seizure but since then i have been terrified, scared and anxious. The anxiety/panic symptoms went away for awhile but for the last month they came back and the anxiety is always there but i only get panic attacks when i am driving. I am terrified of driving because i keep thinking i am going to have a seizure even though it's been more than a year.. My vision is a little disturbed during day time because of the brightness, since i am always anxious..

can panic attacks cause muscles to seize like this or could this something more serious?!

Thanks

Answer
HI Daniel,

Anxiety attacks can cause all sorts of weird symptoms, but it is always wise to exclude any medical condition that can be responsible for the symptoms. If it is due to anxiety attacks it could be due to hypoglycemia and this can be treated nutritionally.  Please test yourself with the

The Nutrition-Behavior Inventory Questionnaire (NBI) at:
http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/articles/nutrition-behavior_inventory.html

and the

The Hypo Quizz at:
http://www.hypoglycemia.org/hypo_test.asp

'If you score high it may be positive for hypoglycemia. This can be treated by going on a hypoglycemic diet. Please discuss with a Nutritional Doctor, Clinical Nutritionist or a Nutritional Psychologist, if self-help fails.

Please read articles at our web site:

What is Hypoglycemia at:
http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/articles/what_is_hypo.html

The Serotonin Connection at:
http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/articles/serotonin_connection.html

Beating Anxiety and Phobias at:
http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/articles/beating_anxiety.html

and discuss with a Nutritional Doctor, Clinical Nutritionist or Nutritional Psychologist. Most people can overcome the problem by adopting the hypoglycemic diet (See our web site)

As a management technique please look up GLYCERINE at our web site. This may stop the anxiety but will not cure it. Going on a hypoglycemic diet will.

I hope Im have been of some help.
