Question Hello. I am Shanda, I am 17. When I was younger I was abused by my dad.(sexually, mentally, physically)Last October, I just came out and told people, including my mom, family, sister and children and youth. I am open about it now because it needs to stop. In late December I was place in a foster home, In early January I moved with my sister, Stacy who is now my guardian.I have contact with my mom, not my dad. I would rather not bother with any of them. When I moved with my sister I was having nightmares. Then eventually they stopped. It is September and my nightmares are back. All of them are of my dad hurting me, or my niece. They are nonstop and the same dream every night with different little things. I don't know why I am dreaming these dreams, I want them to stop. They are bad and its to the point I wake up screaming, crying and in a panic. If you can offer some help that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Answer HI Shanda,
I am sad to heart what you have to go through. These nightmares and emotional upsets, I believe , are signs of a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This can be treated in most cases in the hands of a competent Nutritional Doctor. Please discuss the following article with your doctor and ask to be referred to a Nutritional Doctor.
and ask to be referred to a Nutritional Doctor, Clinical Nutritionist or Nutritional Psychologist, if self-help therapy fails.
I hope I have been of some help.
