Panic Disorders/Attacks/paxil and alcohol use

Question
I've been taking paxil cr (12.5mg) for about a month because of
panic disorder.  I haven't drank any alcohol since I've been on
the medicine and I never had any problems with alcohol abuse,
but I do like to drink in moderation.  I was wondering if it is safe
to have a couple drinks while on the paxil.

Thank you

Answer
This is a question that should be discussed with your doctor You could also ask the pharmacist. There is an interaction between Paxil (Paroxetine) and alcohol, it can increase the dizziness and drowsiness.
