Question I run a sign shop and we are using roofing felt to stiffen long 20 to 30 foot banners...it is very cheap and it works well but.....
I need to find a converter who has chipboard in rolls to use the smooth chipboard surface in place of the roofing felr.
I am located in Arizona there should be a converter in tjhis state or Califorina but it takes too long to get to the right person.
I woulf like to buy chipbord roll with a PS ahesive
Answer I don't know anyone that could pre-apply adhesive to chipboard rolls in your area. There are some companies that do a lot of work with chipboard products in reasonable proximity. They may or may not be able to supply what you need.
Caraustar Converted Products has a plant in Phoenix that could supply rolls of chipboard if they so choose, although their primary function is converting rolls into tube, core, and edge protectors.
Sonoco Products Company has a tube and core converting operation in City of Industry, CA. That corporation is the the 800lb gorilla of paperboard converting.
The Newark Group has two operations that might be helpful to you, both in the Los Angeles area. Newark Paperboard Products has a plant in L.A as does the BCI Division of The Newark Group.
In the interest of full disclosure you should know that I worked for both Caraustar and Sonoco earlier in my career and now have a contractual relationship with The Newark Group through my present employer.
