Question I had the strangest experience this morning around 5:30 a.m.. My bedroom door was closed but not shut so there was no need to use the door knob in order to go in. While I was sleeping all of a sudden my door flew open and the sound that woke me was the fact the it seemed as though someone was playing with the door knob. I immediately woke up nervous thinking it was my mom or my cat but no one was at the door. I woke up and walked around the apartment to make sure there were no intruders and all I noticed was my cat in the living room and my mom asleep in her room. I have always felt as if there is spiritual residue in my house, just felt weird/ unexplainable things sometimes. Could this be a genuine spirit trying to communicate?

Thanks for your question.
If you can rule out any practical or common sense reason why the door opened, it is possible there could be a spiritual energy trying to communicate. Please bear in mind that at the time of the morning, our minds can play tricks on us. However, if this is (or becomes) a regular occurence, there's possibly something paranormal at play.
In my experience, a lot of spirits pick the night-time, and our sleeping time, to make contact. It seems our brain waves are in the right rhythm for them to easily communicate with us and catch our attention. Also, night-time and early morning are when the energies of the physical world are at the lowest, it's quiet, it's dark and spirits like this.
As long as you're not frightened by this, there shouldn't be anything to worry about. If it is spirit activity, the majority of them are completely harmless, contrary to what you see on tv and in movies!
