Subject: Was it really my Grandad?

Question
Hi,
My Grandad passed away on the 15th June in his sleep at home in bed.His funeral was on the 27th June. Now ever since this happened there has only been one day where i have not visited my nan to keep her company.

Today i was sat in my grandads chair and my nan was on the phone. I heard what sounded like a cupboard door being closed (or the breadbin) in the kitchen. I though someone had come in through the back door so i went to look. No-one was in there. As i enterd the kitchen i got a really strange (but nice) feeling. It was like a huge static-charge. It felt like somekind of tingling-fuzzy force all round my body. It was a nice feeling, it made me very warm.

I said outloud "its grandad isnt it?" and the feeling got stronger. i then said outloud 'dont worry, i'm looking after my nan and my mum' again, the feeling got stronger. I then said 'it was a good send-off wasnt it'(referring to the large number of people at the funeral)followed by 'were all going to miss you'. Again with each thing i said outloud, the feeling got stronger. I then noticed that i had a huge smile on my face. I stood still where i was for a short while and returned back to the room with my nan.

I started explaining what had happened when the phone went again and she answered it. Then i heard another noise from the kitchen, this time a totally different noise. I went back, checked the window was shut in the dining room and kitchen and also checked the back door in the kitchen. They were all shut. when i got back into the kitchen, i got the same sensation again. I just stood there and turned to the 'Grandad' Plate on the wall in the kitchen and looked at it.

It was a really nice experience and didnt scare me whatsoever.

Do you think this is my grandad? I'm pretty sure it was.

Thanks in advance

James

Answer
Hello James,

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.

Reading your account of what happened, I would definitely feel this was your grandad because of the way you feel.  It was really nice and more importantly, you weren't scared at all.  When loved ones who have passed over come to visit us, we can feel a number of things; we immediately feel better, calmer and happier.

As he is only just recently passed over, he is probably hanging around his home, making sure your nan is ok and generally just watching over the family.  A lot of spirits do this for a while after dying, before passing on to the next dimension.  This doesn't mean they don't come back for visits or to check in on us - they definitely do!

You should feel really pleased that you had such a special experience - not everyone has these.

Hope this has helped!

Take care,
Siobhan
