About Annalise
Expertise
I can answer questions about any kind of paranormal or unexplained phenomenon, though cryptozoology, psychic abilities, and ghosts/hauntings are my strengths. I also delve into UFOs, synchronicities, and the general "weirdness" of the world we live in. I am not an expert on religious matters like angels, Mary sighting, miracles or things of that nature so please find someone better qualified than me to help you with those subjects.

Experience
I have had personal experiences with strange and paranormal phenomenon since I was a child, which has lead me to a lifelong quest for explanations. I have read countless books on the subject and spoken to many other people who have had unexplained experiences. However, I am a skeptic, but not a debunker. This means that I believe 99 percent of paranormal phenomena are not paranormal and can be explained by normal physical laws. I have helped many scared or confused people figure out that what they experienced was not unusual at all. But, there is a small percentage that is truly inexplicable. I would be happy to answer any general questions you have, or help you figure out exactly what the heck that was that you saw!

Education/Credentials

Paranormal Phenomena - Spirit and Electronics freaking out

Question
On Monday at 4 pm a twelve year old girl in my town, who I knew, died of the flu. Exactly twelve hours later at 4 am i was abruptly awoken by the sound of my ceiling fan whirling out of control. Mind you, it had been off for weeks, I never turned it on, and my family had been asleep for hours. The growing force was so strong, it sounded like howling wind. I tried pulling on the string to turn it off, but it would not stop spinning until one of the fan's metal planks flew off and hit the wall. Even after this it still spun, but much slower. I was so scared I couldn't move. What could this mean??

Answer
Dear Mell,

It really is difficult to say something is paranormal with just one event happening, and even harder when it involves electrical items since they are known for malfunctioning a lot.

I suggest you ask an electrician on all experts if this is possible and what could cause it and if they say it is not possible, then we can look into it being paranormal but really, my first thought is that is is coincidental.
