Experience
I have had personal experiences with strange and paranormal phenomenon since I was a child, which has lead me to a lifelong quest for explanations. I have read countless books on the subject and spoken to many other people who have had unexplained experiences. However, I am a skeptic, but not a debunker. This means that I believe 99 percent of paranormal phenomena are not paranormal and can be explained by normal physical laws. I have helped many scared or confused people figure out that what they experienced was not unusual at all. But, there is a small percentage that is truly inexplicable. I would be happy to answer any general questions you have, or help you figure out exactly what the heck that was that you saw!

Question
should I develop my abilities to communicate with spirits?
My friend Steve died in a car crash 2 weeks ago which has hit me hard, last night i went with Sam my best friend and mutual friend of stes (we all went to school together over 20 yrs ago) to see her sister Hannah because Hannah had seen Steve with Sam a few days previously as Sam was printing a picture she had of Steve for his parents, Hannah had explained to Sam that Steve was very angry with himself and kept shouting about how he knew the road and shouldn't of crashed etc, anyway we arranged to meet Hannah to see if we could contact Steve and maybe help him, we had been there about 10 mins, Hannah had previously said he wasn't there, and we were laughing and calling him names at how he had dumped Sam by text a few months previously (they dated for a couple of months# and i heard a man laugh but didn't say anything cos Hannah had said he wasn't there, a few seconds later Hannah said he was there, he said to Hannah take me and il show you, we presumed he meant to the crash site but as i was sitting on the sofa I started to feel like I was loosing control, like i was going to faint or leave my body, and my body felt like your stomach does on a roller coaster, really freaky! anyway we drove to the crash site, Hannah said he was in the car the whole time, as we drove up the road he died on I felt like he was trying to drive the car, my arms had severe pins and needles and i felt like i wasn't seeing through my eyes, i felt foolish asking him to stop in case it wasn't him and it was just fear but i couldn't help it cost the sensation was so strong, to cut a long story short he explained how and why he crashed and it was very emotional, he asked us to take a flower each and i feel we really helped him to forgive himself, was I really feeling his spirit or was it adrenalin? Iv felt and been told i have abilities before but im not sure, Hannah asked me to her psychic circle, should i go

Dear Sarah,
This is a very hard question from me since you will probably not like my answer to you.

I think what you experienced physically was not a spirit at all, it was a form of panic attack. Every symptom you described is a symptom of anxiety and are NOT symptoms of spirit presence, even down to the seeing things oddly.

You also say you feel and heard Steve but really, what you described is more in line with a classic case if wishful thinking. This Hannah girl, you all obviously put faith in her, and I am not one to judge what abilities she does and does not have, but honestly, real psychics don't usually have a "psychic circle". I am not saying she is a liar, I am just asking you to step back and look at the evidence for abilities. Are there any really? She may have them, or she may THINK she has them, a far cry from being a liar or something, just misguided.

My fear is for you. I would hate to have you get mixed up in something that is not based on fact, and cultivate delusions that you have some kind of ability that you don't. I have seen this happen many times and people can spend a lifetime deceiving themselves.

So my answer, in your case, has to be no, I do not recommend pursuing this further, at least not right now. I think you need to keep it in the back of your mind, read up about what real psychics feel and do, and then, if it happens again or other things start to happen, then entertain the idea of learning how to cultivate a gift.

We are so bombarded with this on TV now that it may feel that being psychic is more common than it is but really is is VERY VERY rare. And so are spirit presences, very rare.

Put on your logical hat and really look at Hannah and what YOU have felt and be a little skeptical, it can do not harm.
