Parenting K-6 Kids - question: foster child/keep?

Expert: MaryAnn F. Kohl - 3/5/2007

Question
when you get a foster child can you keep them or do you have to keep giving them back

Answer
Sometimes, if things work out, you can keep them. But this is not guaranteed. Sometimes you can even adopt them. This can all be discussed with the people in charge of the foster care. A contract or agreement can be signed. Check with your local foster care agency and they can easily answer all your questions.

Best wishes,
MaryAnn Kohl
