Question I would like to know if this sounds like colic. My son is 17 months old. At 2:00am every night, he starts to scream. It dosen't matter if he has been asleep for one hour or 6 hours he wakes up around the same hour. He scream real loud and for up to 4 hours some times. I try to massage him and he doesn't want me to touch him. I try to rock him back to sleep but he just keep on crying. If you can help me please. I don't know anything else to do.
Answer Reshaunda-
Thank you for the question. I don't think it's colic. I think that usually only affects small babies. I might say night terrors as this is the time where some fears of things are introduced. It could be that he wakes in the dark and gets scared. I'm afraid I can't say more as I'm puzzled as well. What I suggest is for you to check in with his doctor. Make an appointment and talk it out with the doctor. There could be something else going on. Maybe something medical like an ear infection or teething as the molars can come in now.
