Question
Could electronic music boxes like the one attached to my baby's swing actually be bad for his development? I know that loud noise or too much flashing and the like could over stimulate. Is it okay to use the lullaby box to soothe my three month old?

Answer
Dear Archie,

I don't know of any research that shows that music that comes with toys or swings are bad for the baby's hearing or development. I know that music soothes children or stimulates them. Just trust yourself and do not expose them to really loud music. Trust your baby too if it makes them cry or upsets them don't do it.
