Parenting--Toddlers/Infants/Pre-Schoolers/6 month old sleep issues

Hi Kay,

I have a 6 month old daughter who was sleeping very well at night. She would get up once a night, and was able to sleep from 7pm until 2am or 3am before getting up.
Recently, she's been getting up every few hours and sometimes she will stay awake for a few hours at night. She has also been getting up at 5am.
What can I do to get her to sleep through the night?
Thank you.

Dear Vanessa:

First I would suggest checking with her doctor to see if anything is happening in her body. Is she getting her teeth (molars are awful)? Then I suggest asking yourself what in her world has changed recently? Has she had physical changes, emotional changes, environmental changes, family changes or other issues she did not have before?

I have just published a new Kindle Book and the paper back will be published sometime this month. It is called Hassle Free Bedtime: Getting any child to bed is as easy as 1-2-3!

In this book you will find what I consider the be the best answer to getting any child to go to bed every night.

However, I suspect something has changed for her and she is responding by regressing back to what has worked for her in the past, getting your attention.

Best Wishes!
