Question
For constant fatigue and muscle tiredness, how do you feel about taking CoQ10 for the lack of energy as some people put it?

Answer
Hi Donald and thanks for writing,

CoQ10 is an electron carrier and is important to many body energy systems, particularly in the cell mitochondria, which are known as the energy factories, where it aids in generating ATP. CoQ10 acts as a mild metabolic stimulant and may facilitate weight loss. It also appears to be a mild immune stimulant. This substance has been shown to help heart function by enhancing the pumping action and electrical functioning, as well as helping to lower blood pressure.

I am a big believer in CoQ10 coenzyme for maintaining a healthy system in most people, but I would worry a little bit about low blood pressure and exacerbating weight loss in someone with PD as both can already be issues.
I wonder if Bee Pollen might be a better suggestion. Bee pollen is rich in the B vitamin complex (which gives energy), carotenes, including vitamins C and E, two potent antioxidants, and is made up of approximately 55% carbohydrates.
There are many health benefits attributed to bee pollen which have been verified in independent clinical tests all over the world. In Europe, especially Germany, it is very popular as a supplement.
The Chinese too have used it for centuries. Its benefits include increasing energy, increased libido, helps eliminate acne, aids indigestion, eliminating depression, improving blood pressure.
I hope this helps answer your question,
Margot
