Question I recently purchased a 14 wk old blue crowned conure. He's sweet and
affectionate. He is mostly eating seed though I am trying to introduce pellet.
He has some odd behaviors that are probably just normal baby bird behavior,
but I thought I would run them by you to be sure. He/She lifts his wing and
flutters it up against me when on my shoulder. Also does alot of clucking
noises. He/she is eating frequently and is actively chewing and playing both
inside and outside the cage. Sound normal?
Answer Yes - sounds perfectly normal. The wing lift is to try to put you under it (isn't that nice?), to snuggle in with you as if you were a nest mate.
The chatter and playing shows how comfortable and happy he is.
Take a look here to find out how to better get him on pellets and other good stuff
