Party Planning - 70 birthday party

Question
What types of food/appetizers would be appropriate for a 70th birthday party (brunch/lunch) that will be held between the hours of 11am - 4 pm on a Saturday. The event will be held in a rented mostly glass 5- room apartment at the top of a building. There will be approximately 100- 150 guests, young and old with a partial live jazz musicans and recorded music. Food will be buffet style. Seafood and beef are favorites as are other foods. I also would like some ideas on possible signature drinks using gin or vodka or rum

This sounds like a wonderful party...just had my 70th and believe me, we are still young at heart and love a good party.

I get so many of these food/beverage questions and since I am not a caterer or food expert I have put together a list of sites that give endless information for menus and quantities, etc.

It always depends upon your guest list and time of day, etc. Plus, even the day of the week. All of those factors come into play. The following sites are good for quantities and selections.
